Because it's a standard phrase to start communication.

If a hot girl pays attention to me it doesn't really matter what she says. Her attention is enough.

If she is not creative in her messages, no guy would care either.

One day, I happened to walk past where my crush was with friends. Then all of a sudden they start laughing, and someone maybe him, goes "freaking (my name) with her freaking hair!" Can anyone offer insights into this? We're in middle school.

BTW all the girls start their messages with a similar simple greeting.
